Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009On Thursday 22 October, Abernethy’s were proud to look after the presenters and crew of BBC 1’s One Show. Having been caught in the rain, an impromptu visit from Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles caused a bit of a stir in the salon! However, the team swung into action and styled their hair so they could continue filming. You may have seen the team working their magic on the Friday night edition. Fame at last!

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009There has been a lot going in our sociable, busy town and Abernethy’s has been happy to be involved.
In July, we created hair for 30 models at the Cheese & Grain for the Stroud and Swindon Charity Fashion Show. Our creative stylists produced beautiful, striking looks to complement the clothes from our fabulous local shops. The show was sold out, raising thousands of pounds for local charities …
… and in June, Cheap Street was proud to hold its first fun day. All the shops provided entertainment for the whole family, from rock bands and face painting to a delicious hog roast.
The finale of the day at Abernethy’s was a makeover competition. The winner, Sue Daniels, had been selected from a number of entries. Sue’s hair was coloured by Carli and cut and styled by Martin, with make-up by Elaine’s Beauty Salon and dressed in clothes from Spirit. I think you’ll agree from the photos that Sue really does look 10 years younger!
